So, one of the most famous sights in Belgium is the statue of the little boy peeing. His name is Manneken Pis. Little Man is rather old considering how young he looks and he gets to wear such delightful costumes. It's funny, because he symbolizes the Brusselian's irreverent spirit but I guess now-a-days he needs clothing, what with all the tourists. He is, after all, probably the most looked at little pee-er in the world.
In celebration of seeing Manneken Pis, we ate some “Manneken Frites.” These were yummy frites, very well fried with plenty of yummy mayonnaise, which tasted a bit lemony. Yum!
I seem to like the frites!
(I'm in Belgium by the way, we arrived yesterday.)

Have fun, and do consider trying to make it to Westvleteren - if not for the abbey's beer sale, at least to visit the cafe & try some non-black market Westvleteren.
Now to get off my behind & start planning my own trip...

yes, we are in belgium and it is excellent. Saw some westvleteren for sale at Beer Mania but it was way too costly and very much black market.

I would agree, the mayo is different. more thick creamy mouthfeel, less air in the mayo and more lemony flavor. Really Good stuff!
Huh, I wonder if the little brass bell Marcy gave me last year is from Brussels. The handle is molded into a little boy peeing. I thought it was a little odd.
