a little visit to the zoo

Today, we took a little trip to the zoo, just a quick hour or two to see some animals. The zoo was too busy to stay long, but we caught a few cute animal pictures.

My favorite animal at the zoo, the Arabian Wild Cat

The anteater with her little baby

A capybara swimming to stay cool

This is a huge capybara family

Kissin' capys

On the way home from the zoo, we spotted one of the few bunnies that hops around the park, there used to be more of them.

Fun pictures. The most amazing ones are of the wild rabbit, but the cutest one (and cutest is what count in this blog) is the kissing capybaras.

=) yes, aren't those little capys so cute? It was really a second in which they were in that little pose but I snapped the little photo.

I got lonesome looking at the zoo pictures -- lonesome for San Diego and for my sweet granddaughter both. Wish I could come for a visit so we could go to the zoo together but don't know if that will ever happen. I take each day at a time these days but pray for the day I will see you and Matt again. I love the rabbits most because they remind me of Grandpa and how he loved all of God's little creatures. We had a good sized bear running loose here in our park a few weeks ago for about three weeks. It tried to rob all the hummingbird feeders, they like the sweetness. It was always looking for food and turned over alot of things in peoples carports at night. Guess it finally went searching somewhere else after not getting any food here. One never knows what tomorrow brings. I love you both and thank you for your thoughtfulness via cards very often. Love Always Grandma
